Figured i would bump this topic up one. I went looking for a synth editor that was free and did XML.
I didn't find what you were talking about though.... Can you give us a name or link to the program?

sorry people havnt checked this thread for a while..
the programme in question is called midi quest can be used as a stand alone patch editor or vst is available also.
