i have nothing good to say about the krk's.
you cannot get replacement cones for the ns-10's anymore (i think - can anyone confirm this?)

im currently using a set of tapco s8 actives - 120watt per side bi-amplified - they are an excellent mid-priced set of monitors - and the 8-inch drivers are capable of really good bass response which is important seeing as you wish to produce dance music.

anyways good luck with it mate and let us know how you go :D

You dont need NS10's "Cos every studio has em"....they are actually a really nasty sounding monitor...

Just get a 'nice' pair of monitors for accuracy, and then check mixes on home Hi-Fi, car, whatever....or buy some other bookshelf speaker. I have a pair of 'Mordaunt Short' bookshelf speakers for reference, but rarely use them

If you know your monitors well, and know how they translate in the real world, you will be fine......

KRK's???? I dont like em either, but to be fair, it wasnt actually the ideal environment I was listening in. I regret my monitor choice (Tannoy) and wish I had waited a little longer and bought something better (Mmmm....BM6A's)

Good luck!

Thanks

Hello

You'd be alot better off looking into the Yamaha MSP10's as opposed to the NS10. The NS10 are shocking in all senses of the word lol. Failing that...try and pict up a second hand pair of Mackie 624 or 834...for around ?5-600.

i monitor on sony in ear fontopia headphones and its a nightmare :? i should invest in some monitors too. i have my eyes on tannoy reveals and alesis m1 actives. both are kind of lower end budget active monitors that you may want to check into for not so expensive monitoring solutions. i havent really heard very many bad things about them. if you are stretched for cash after the virus purchase (heheh. like me)

check out monitor headphones.

currently, audio technica ATH-A500s are getting rave reviews at the budget end of the scale. the ATH-A900s are getting rave reviews on the serious side of things. check them out on audiocubes.com. they look fucking cool too
