I bought a 2nd-hand Virus Indigo (v1) while waiting and saving for the Virus D (or whatever it may be named). ;) I was secretly hoping for a 2004 Namm release, having the money saved and ready, but it was not to be. :(
My plans were to get VirusD, then an 8-buss mixer, and then a laptop, in that order (I have to start from scratch saving for each item with them being, er, not so cheap! ;) ).... But it's been so long, I'm grabbing the laptop first (as soon as Intel release Centrino mk2). The mixer is a must, also, so is still second in the queue, also now to be followed by a multi-input soundcard too... So the D is relegated to last place now, so it'll take me at least a year (maybe more) to save up for it again. :| Ho hum.

It's really hard for any of us to give you advice on whether to wait for the "Appatchi" or buy a VC now. None of us have any real idea on what you are actually waiting for, or even how long you will wait.

It depends on how desperate you are I think.

i would say get a virus b mean while in a cheap price and wait for a virus d if you can.
otherwise just get a virus c...
