I'm so happy that I got the JD-990 instead though. A Juno-106 would have offered a nice analog Roland sound, but I have a Virus KB, a Waldorf Pulse, a BassStation, an AX-60 and an ESQ-1. How much analog and VA do you need before it becomes redundant? A nice rompler provides a great contrast to all the warm LPF synths I have.

unio mystica, I liked the sound of the Juno, don't get me wrong. It's a nice sounding simple synth that makes powerful bass and beautiful pads.

In my setup, I'm glad things worked out the way they did. If I only had a Virus or a Kurzweil or something, I'd be more than happy to have a Juno-106. Hell, I'd take one now if I could afford it. But, when I look at my finances and my current setup, I see no need for one.

Thanks for your replies. I?ve decided to forget the juno and go for the ms2000 which I was going to buy in the first place. I?m sure juno sounds great but I can?t afford to get it fixed if it breaks and I?ve heard the soundchips are no longer available from roland. So I don?t wan?t to spend all my spare time looking for one. I also like the features in the ms2000 more. I think it works better for me.

I always thought the MS2000 was kind of mediocre. If I were going to buy a MOSS synth, I'd get a Prophecy or a Z1. Unless the modsequencer is important to you, they are both better synths.

It is the sound i?m after.

Where can you find all these vintage analogues? Just from e-bay or are there specialist stores, I did a check on google but it didn't bring anything up.

I like Rogue Music in NYC (but I'm a bridge and tunnel Jersey Guy).
www.roguemusic.com
I bought my JD-990 from them, and they always have a ton of vintae analog and digital stuff, plus they do repairs.
I usually deal with private owners, and in person deals can't be beat.

I like this place in Japan. This place sells heaps of vintage, plus they have a museum.

Buying from here is quite expensive by Japanese standards though.
