Decrease? Nah! I've studied the current processors and it seems that on 32-bit programs on 32-bit Windows the basic Athlon64 is only slighty faster than the fastest P4. The reason why the differences are so small is that the 64-bit Windows is still on beta stage and there aren't many 64-bit programs around yet.

But the truth is that there's no point in investing 32-bit system anymore. It would just get outdated fast when the 64-bit software comes.

What the hell?! Unreasonable is too light to describe this. Does someone really buy that processor?

yes they do they by creamware cards which r processors much in the same...the thing i have heard about the cards from what ppl who use them have said is that u can still be quite limited on those cards...ie only a certain number of channels on their mixer...because u cant use any1 elses...and dont even look at VST being enhanced that wont happen...it only works for the companies software...just look into how many synths and effects u can have open at the same time...it does tend to get pretty limited for the price...and u have to buy all the addition synths and effects...you get in the bundle their basic FX and synths...All im saying is be careful b4 jumping into it...look for what u need not what u want...

So what options are there for me to upgrade!!

Can you get faster then 3.06?

Thanks for the swift reply :D

That's a pretty good spec though, I'm suprised it's having difficulty coping. Have a look on the bottom right by the clock on your desktop and see if there are other programs running that you don't need while you're working on Cubase - i.e. virus scans or other stuff. Right click them and close them down and it will free up resources for Cubase.
