Now to the latest from my distributor! The final OS is completed for the TI, but Access have made an error regarding the control layout. This means that you need to buy 2 TIs, as you can't control the engine from the onboard contols. Looks like you all will have to pre-order a second. The LCD screens will be replaced with an LED dot matrix setup. It will be bigger and brighter. The LCD was causing conflicts with the hypersaw. Also as "Hypersaw" isn't catch phrase enough they will be changing it. They want the best new OSC name in the business, so it now will be called "HypermaxedSuperRadSaw". Doesn't get any cooler than that! Should be out soon guys! |
The more i think about this delay in the TI the more I think it was probably never ready to be shipped back in November 2004 anyways. This could be nothing more than an elaborate marketing drive to obtain feedback on features and demand. Anything is possible.....
Put it this way......its a good way to get peopel talking about it for months and months with minimal advertising outlay.... Whoever made the decision to announce it when it wasnt even ready to be released should have been made redundent. That kinda blunder can bring small companies to their knees.... DS |

I take no credit for the timer - this was the work of member 'dustroom' on www.virusti.com So, were there any updates from remix NYC? When was the last time we got an 'official' update? Feb? C'mon marc its June - some sort of statement from Access really is overdue... cheers blay |
Am I right in thinking that with 6 months passed since the original release date of the TI.....has technology moved on a bit? I mean....would it viable that the Ti could utilise more advanced technology by now? or maybe even utilise proper USB2 for the same price as USB 1?
Just wondering and killing time... DS |

Can't wait anymore. I've decided to buy V-Synth XT instead of Virus TI for my musical experiments because I'm very impressed!
http://www.rolandus.com/Multimedia/F...hxt/index.html YUMMY! )) I'll buy Virus 2-3 months later. |
Buy the TI in 2-3 months...........ok you might be the lucky one. I doubt it'll be out until end of this year....or maybe never.

Wow I can?t believe you guys are still waiting for the TI 8O ... I think now the Ti was simply a bad joke.
By the time it's ready for release Access would have gone the way of the dinosaurs. Glad to see someone picked up a V-Synth XT... The V-synth is a lot of fun to play. I have also moved on and have been actually making music instead of chatting and lusting after vaporware. I have been working with a vocalist and doing recording. Recently, I ordered a Mackie Control Universal and two XT fader extenders. My studio is finally coming together. I still have space for a Ti in there, but it?s really starting to look like there will never be a Ti made to fill that space... Oh well, it's not like Access is the only game in town. Blay, I thought you were all ready to jump ship? If any of you guys that have no synth are still waiting then consider this: If you buy something now to work on, you can always sell it if the Ti ships and turns out to be as great as Access claims. That way you can get some music made. On the flipside what if the Ti never ships? If you don?t have a synth I guess you?ll never make any more music. I know some of you sold your gear and are waiting (as I was) for the Ti. You likely feel that when you get the Ti, it will inspire you to make all sort of cool new tunes? But in reality all the Ti is doing is stopping you from making anything, because you don?t have one. Remember, it remains to be seen weather the Ti will really inspire musical creation, but it is a fact that it is currently a hindrance to actually producing music for many here. People, it's the music that's important... Not the tools. |
Of course the TI will ship. |
I do think the TI will ship, but I don?t think it will ship within the next months.
In the meantime the beta-testers have fun with their TI and I even heard of one using the TI in his next released track. I can?t believe it!!! I really thought of getting my money back and buy a C and an 8080 but the prices of the C rised up again. At least Access could give some hints if it will be in the next weeks or months, but they want us to buy the TI and if we knew when it?s shipped (surely in months) we would take our money back and buy something different. But we don?t know and so we hope it?s within the next days and don?t want to risk to be the last to get the TI. ACCESS KNOWS THIS! ...and that?s unfair of them!!! The more I think about it -the more I don?t want the TI anymore. Regards Someone who paid for the TI 6 months ago and lives only one city away from it!! MarcTale |
TI released anytime soon?
Yeah right. Been waiting for 7 months now and still no official word on release date. While I still want the TI, I no longer believe that it will get released anytime soon. |
I'm confused as to why a wait of several months should necessarily mean it will be several months more? There is no logic behind this assumption.
Come on guys, isn't it obvious? There won't be any more announcements concerning shipping of the TI until it is actually shipping. This is Access doing the right thing, here. And remember - a watched-pot never boils.. |
Well I'd rather convince myself that I won't see my TI this year so if it DOES come out in the next few months, I will be really happy.

Hehhe, I'm starting to sound like Confucious. My distributor has no fresh news by the way guys. |
I'm not saying it won't ship, but who's to say it will... Or when? This whole thing stinks of the Kurzweil VA-1... There are still people waiting for that to ship too. They're going on two years now... but you know what, I'm sure they will eventually ship
http://duet.harmony-central.com/foru...1#post10734511 http://www.sonicstate.com/news/shownews.cfm?newsid=1335 Unless you can read the mind of the CEO tor have personally seen the units being boxed for shippment there is no way you can guarantee that the Ti will ship anytime soon. Or ever. I can only make my music with real hardware not vaporware. |
