Of course they are not going to be drawn into a release date discussion as they don't know when it will be finished. Thats just the way it is. I'll bet this time last year the OS programming geeks were promising it would be finished by August '04 or some shit. Those programming geeks always promise the world to get the contract and then make it drag out for months and months overdue so they can keep charging their hundreds of dollars an hour for being geeks.

I don't know. If the manual was to tide everyone over you'd think they would have announced it on the frontpage rather than people finding it on chance. Dude, cam down. I have bought a ton of synths from novamusik and they've always been honest with me and I know people that work there. Who cares that I posted what nova said. I just noticed they changed it, so I thought I'd let people know because they are my source and my only one. It's been a long time since I posted a date change, so don't jump on me about it. I know it won't be official until Access announces it on their site, but who knows, dealers may hear first. After all Access still has Dec 2004 as the date on their site and they make no mention of the manual anywhere, it doesn't seem like they're updating the site at all. Besides dealers would know before customer because theyre the ones buying the synths and selling them.....yeah and I'm not a retard so shush. This forum is caled expected TI release date, so why shouldn't I post an update on eta....what's the point of this forum otherwise? It's not like there's a ton of other things to talk about right now, so.....

Oh and by the way musiciansfriend had the TI listed as an eta of October.

Everyone here knows disties just want the sales and so will post anything and say anything to customers weather its fact or not to get them. None of us care what novamusik has to say about shipping, they have got it wrong probably the most out of anyone so no we dont want to know, thanks anyway :)

You think that's bad, now they've started shipping gear out before it's even released: I ordered a Mackie Onxy 400F from them and it arrived with no box, no manual, no drivers, nothing, completely useless. Turns out the 400F isn't actually released, it was just a prototype unit.


Not even close, for months zzounds just incremented the ETA by one week every week. Now that's lame. Novamusik has been quite good -- I think they had the original december date, then the march, then nothing if I recall.

I think we all should know by now that any ETA from shops is erroneous. Like Blay and co have already said...when the TI is shipping Access will tell the world....and all the marketing fireworks will be set off.....

It's quite trivial to post music store ETA's because it's probably as informative on TI arrival aspect than what have you eaten today for breakfast.

Now I'm drinking coffee and eating rye bread with ham and alderman. Next some cereals and eggs.

Its basically a sneaky marketing ploy by access to assure huge sales and interest not just when its released but upto a YEAR before its released!
I think that they never intended to release the TI late last year, but they did tell the world and even put a 2 page spread in S.O.S to get our mouths watering.. Show you a few pictures and you guys think WOW it must be close, time to sell the virus c and wait to purchase a TI!! I can think of at least 3 people I know who have put buying other synths on hold because they are waiting to see what the TI can do, and this is what Access intended all along... Release details extremely early, make fake release dates and get everyone to hold onto there dollars or even hand over money in PREORDERS while they work on the final TI !! The manual is another perfect example of this marketing ploy ... very very sneaky

I don't think anyone is ganging up you though Fumer. Ten has been letting everyone have it who quotes shops or the like, so it's nothing personal either I'd imagine.

As for me, I have been rubbing it in to the TI pre-orderers for ages now. :D You may notice most of the people have been ignoring my posts. I tell you my distributor is very, very reliable! :wink: Listen to me god damn it!

My distributor has some new news. 8O

Knobs are in short supply and 40% will be missing.
Bateries will now not be included due to price contraints.
USB will be replaced will SCSI.
Midi may not work in the beta OS, but you can get around it by holding the middle C key whilst playing.
The appegiator will not sync incoming midi, but it will sync to taping the rythm out on the table the TI is sitting.

All these problems, plus many, many more will be fixed sometime in the future with an OS update. :D

What I heard is, that Hypersaw will be released in OS 1.5 or 2.0.
If you needit,you have to use the former Triple-Saw in each Oscillator and detune and unison them very much.... :wink: :D

"It is possible to have user wavetables with the TI, but you'll have to do it with another synth and then run that sound into the TI's external inputs."

He also said....

"At the moment the TI OS is at version number beta .0007, and will be released if it makes it to version 1. Access is hoping the final version will have OSCs, but if it doesn't, it still will be a nice filter box"
