I'm afraid I can't comment on such matters. One thing I can tell you for certain though - shipping day is one day nearer than it was yesterday ;)

This is a typical Access response. You have managed to write two sentences that tell us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

hold on, that's my style of replying - ben's just copying me ;) - and since access beta testers have to sign NDAs, you will not get much information that way anyway

NDA's....... is that some kinda industry secrets act?

"Non-Disclosure Agreement" = just that, basically. In fact, even releasing that bit of information means I must now kill both of us..

Does that affect the release date in a negative way? ;)

Blay have you gone out and bought an alternative synth or are you still waiting for the TI?

DIGITAL SCREAMS 10.04.2005 01:00 PM

How much does it cost a company to attend one of these big music shows? How much does it cost to set up at NAMM?

Just interested.......

*How many people typically attend these events?

Thank you for your mail.

Thank you for your mail. At this time we can unfortunately call no accurate date. The TI series is in the beta test and naturally is endeavored we to finish the TI series as fast as possible. We will however only bring the TI to series on the market if the integration runs into the host Sequencer accordingly problem-free. Of course we do not speak of further months, but with at the end of April can become possibly scarce it

jan

This is just what I've been saying all the time and it's quite obvious that this is the problem why they haven't already brought the synth out. The integration part won't be problem free to make. It's like building a nuclear bomb.

DIGITAL SCREAMS 10.04.2005 10:41 PM

I think realistically we could be looking at another six months.....

There have been a few products announced but then released a whole year later......maybe its Access' turn. You guys remember the Kurzweil VA1....where is it?

Its a waiting game for sure. The frustrating thing is not nowing for how long. If Access told us it would be within 6 months I could live with that.....but Im going from week to week for updates....and yes even I find it frustrating. Now id better go make my self a nice cup of shut the fuck up.

I was just about to say the same thing!

The length of this thread indicates just how long Access has strung you guys along. 8O

At least they've said something a little more concrete now though "Thank you for your mail. At this time we can unfortunately call no accurate date."

Gotta love their methods don't ya!?

Failing looking at your avatar, there are pills for that.....

technomonster 12.04.2005 07:31 PM

the interesting thing is,

one of my collegues went to NAMM and played on the ACCESS VIRUS TI.

he has never been interested in any ACCESS VIRUS's in the past, not really his music feild entirely.
he said that it was the most magnificent looking synth he had ever seen.
(all forms)
hE ALSO said that it sounded brilliant.

he also mentioned how the ROLAND V-SYNTH RACK sounded increadible and it had an amazing vocoder- a must to buy just for that.

these were the 2 things that really impressed him there.

i am waiting for it as well. maybe ACCESS released it too soon in their advertising because they were quite excited.

i guess it must be software issues, not that i really know what is involved with that.
i hope there is nothing too wrong with it. it is mucking up my music carreer abit, actually. it is prolonging a release date of CD release (fantasy maybe). anyway hope all is well.

sorry about the double post.

i copied and transfered my first post to this topic, thinking it better siuted here.

in the other topic, unfortunately it didnt offer me the choice of deleting. after i had done the transfer.
in other forums such as Vintage Synth Explorer, it does for a short period after one has posted something. i couldnt do anything about it.

And then this one afterwards.

DIGITAL SCREAMS 13.04.2005 07:12 PM

I was glad to get that email. At least it's not a day to day curiosity of whether it's shipping. Can relax for a bit now.

Yes, my situation is a bit different than most of you on here. For most of you, it's simply an upgrade with more features and abilities. I've never owned a Virus. This will be my first.

MADSTATION 13.04.2005 07:26 PM

Where do they say MAY?

They just said NOT april...

It might be may, it might be june! heh

bj2001 13.04.2005 07:34 PM

my music is dead since december
no VA to work with, i hate workin' on VSTI with a midi keyboard.

the same here cause my kc was defective 3 times and i changed into a virus ti keys... but i wouldn't say "**** access music"... One the one hand i want a working Synth, so the release date is good for the synth, on the other hand, i would like to have my virus ti (perhaps at first without total integration) and an os update one month later....

I think maybe we should all totally forget about release dates and pretend that the TI was never officially announced. I dont think Access will ever announce a new synth until they are litrally about to begin shipping. I expect there are a few other manufacturers rubbing their hands in glee over this.......

Why oh why did this happen.

Mental conditioning for everyone!

Start from the beginning: Did you hear that Access might be coming out with a new Virus?

This is what mydistributor told me today:
They called Access and had an angry chat with them. They told them many people want their money back.
Access said they will ship the TI within the next 2 weeks.
The distributor told me, they used "we hope we will ship" in earlier chats.

That?s what the distributor told me. So please don?t blame me - blame Blackfield.de when this information is wrong (Martina Gosebrink).
I just wanted to share this.

A guy living only 20 km away from Access.
