I?ve been listening to Vocal Trance for ages,And we always found that alot of the Dynamics of a song mostly come from the Bassline...
Its a hard thing to get right IMO.
So we decided to make a soundset with pure basslines.
I have uploaded a stack of Demos for yous to listen to and tell me that you think (We love them)
They are all the same loop but with different Bassline Patches from the soundset.
The bassline was played with only 1 finger on the Keyboard..Easy 8)

Nice effort but a lot of those sound samey and they lack definition.

Very average bass here but it might help a few ppl out.
It's quite easy to get much punchier bass sounds on the TI.

To be honest, I really couldn't hear any major difference in about 10 or so samples I've now listened too.

Example in Bassline121.mp3, I am using really poor monitors right now but it still sounds more like a lead in the background rather than a bass and compared to other track in the same type of genre, they sounds alot heavier and has more of a bass-feel to 'em than this.

It's just my humble opinion of course, but what really matters is that you like 'em.

Same with 3o3, couldn't really discern much if any difference between many of them, but i am on a laptop at the moment.

I think different bass sounds should be played in different ways, befitting the sound. Like an evil filtered square DnB oscillator-sync'd sub waaaARRPP type bass couldn't really use an arpeggiated euro-bass pattern to full effect. Some of the MP3s nailed that "commercial euro bass" type sound, but other than that I didn't hear anything other than similar euro basses with minor differences between them?

Would be better to hear the bass sounds in isolation. The rest of the parts in the MP3 clips drown it out a tad. =/

I tried not to make them to heavy/punchy as i find the Euro Bass sounds are more plucky...But thats the great thing about the Ti,you can tweak to your hearts content.
But saying that, all patches were aimed at Euro vocal/nonvocal Trance...

Aye, I really need that acctually.. I've realised that my hearing isn't good at all, which sucks big time of course.. And I'll need a new pair of monitors and if I am really really really really lucky I'll be gettin a pair of bloody expensive monitors from a big studio for free.

Aye, I'll be getting them from a good friend of mine that has used them for everyone of his production and he's really respected producer here in Sweden (and worked international aswell).

Just let's hope that everything goes as planned

My friend is a hiphop-producer so I guess that's why you don't know who he is and by the way Darude is from Finland and not Sweden. Hehe, It's acctually Juho that is Darude

I don't have my own monitoring equipment available right now so I cannot say much about the bass sounds but the demos would be better without the lead sound, just a drum loop and changing the bass sound and maybe the notes too. I would have mixed the bass louder if you want to demonstrate exactly the bass. I also found many of the bass sounds very similar. It's also difficult to listen to the bassline because I don't listen to that kind of music (of course not your fault). I usually listen to etn.fm trance & progressive channels.

Btw, Darude is a finnish dj / producer. :)
